Setting the bar a little low?

So as my faithful reader and my friends know, I am looking for a job. While I am indeed still gainfully employed, I expect my status to change within the next few days.

So this morning I'm scouring all kinds of websites looking for a "cool job." I want to turn this tragedy (for details see prior blogs) into something exciting. One thing I'm really interested in doing is working for a non-profit. I've done this before, and I really enjoy the sense of well-being I get from helping others in need.

I found a job that might be interesting, but when I look at the qualifications, I have to wonder if they aren't setting the bar a little too low on this one:

Required Physical Functions: Required to sit and key frequently, required to stand and walk. Required to lift and carry up to ten pounds. Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Required to speak, hear and see.

I can do all of those things!

Go for it. I'm afraid it would be just too much of a physical strain for me, though.

Hey, I know someone who works for the Peace Corps in a "Washington DC based, doesn't have to travel and hang with the great unwashed" capacity and loves it.

Go non-profit, babe!
