Another Money Rant

If I kept archives, I'd link right here to the post where I freaked out about the new nickel. Apparently nobody of influence read that post, because I noticed today that they changed the $10. It too, has a bit of a peach tint to it. There is a huge blow-up of the Liberty Torch to the left, and there is a tiny version on the right. "We The People" is written, in peach, across the Treasury seal. Our friend Mr. Hamilton though, he's looking a little bit too much like Adam Ant for my comfort.

I am just starting to get used to carting around jingly pockets full of coins here in the NL. If it weren't for the different sizes and textures it would probably take me ages to figure out sums of money.

OK, let me be the first to say, as is my right as an American (I think, unless they've taken that right away, too) - the new $10 bill is CREEPY.

It looks like it has Cheeto fallout on it.

btw, dear, I was checking the link to you I put in my blog, and you have a blantant LIE on your website. You say Fredtheblog is updated "daily...ok, definitely weekly." I am going to sue you for $1 million for this statement. Just so you know.

(And my security letters are brgpf. That's exactly how I feel today "Brgpf!")

At least I can read the security letters on this one. Half the time on Bet's I think I'm going blind, although my eye doctor told me that I'm not and I have seven more years before I lose my reading vision. Oh joy.

All the new money is weird. The only one I like is the new quarter. Collect all 50 states! Before they disappear!

(my security letters are almost a shout out to Flipsy -- hyorjw. Kind of HoJew, no?)

the security letters must have been designed by the same people who came up with those child-proof bottles that no one of any age can open.

Ccreoh! It's my salute to New Orleans culture.
