Happy New Year
It has been so long since I've blogged that I actually forgot my password at blogger. I shouldn't go this long without writing. Really. Anyway...
Happy New Year!
I wish I could be as chipper about the new year and as whistful about the old as Stennie. Basically, 2005 sucked. Every part of my life managed to break down in some way, and fate played some particularly cruel tricks on me. Let's just say I'll be considering a little "betterment of life through pharmacuticals" if this year doesn't see my life improving by leaps and bounds.
Now according to the Chicago Sun Times, the aforementioned leaps and bounds will be happening in no time:
CANCER (June 21-July 22): This year should be one of the best years you've had in more than a decade. (A group of Cancers paid me to say this.) Not really. I can't be bought off that easily. Expect a great vacation, increased enjoyment with children, and opportunities to delight in your own creative self-expression.
I'm waiting for the good stuff to start, and I'm sure to rush back here to tell you all about it.
I'm waiting.
Today I signed up for what is sure to be the highlight of the year - I enrolled at one of the City of Chicago Schools, where I plan to pursue math. I know, get the cootie spray out, right? I figure that any search for balance should begin with evening things out. Since I spend most of my life on right-brained activities, I thought it would be useful to try to excercise a bit of the left. Also, if I ever hope to get an MBA, I'll eventually have to take the GMAT. I have not had a math class since 1987, and I've seen that GMAT book. There are numbers in there.
So there you have it. The first post of the year. Aren't you glad you checked in?

As a fellow Cancerian I hope to God it's all true. And all these wonderful things will be conveyed by that lovely triumvirate of the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and S. Claus.
