Blog about Milwaukee
On Easter Sunday, while the goy of the world were eating ham going to church, Alexis and I went to Milwaukee to check out the art museum there.
As we expected, the museum itself was breathtaking, but the exhibits indoors were less than exciting. The pictures on Fred The Website show the best of - as I see it anyhow, and a little bit of Milwaukee - a surprisingly nice city.
On the way home, we stopped at a really funky coffee house for lunch and both of us had some really strong coffee. I chatted maniacally all the way home. Poor Alexis.
Enjoy the pix!
Speaking of Easter - I'm watching the news as I post, and of course, the news of the day was the burial of Pope John Paul II. Some bits and pieces of this funeral coverage confused me. Can anyone answer the following?
1. Why does the Pope have a will if he has no earthly possessions?
2. Why did the Pope get burred in three caskets? Why were his face and hands covered?
3. I noticed that the Pope had pall-bearers. How do those people get chosen?
1 Comments:
1. Because he's the Pope and he can do anything he wants to. Anyway, I'm sure he has a stash of valuables no one knows about, and they're not telling us.
2. Because he's the Pope and he gets better stuff than we do. I want to know why he was buried where another Pope was once buried. Did they dig him up?
3. I actually wondered the same thing! Are they priests in tuxedos? Was there an American-Idol type competition for it? I DON'T KNOW!
PS - I love the museum pic.
