A busy weekend

It's been four days out of the office now, and I am more relaxed. Not, of course, that I've done any relaxing. No matter. Amazing how getting out of a hostile environment for a few days can improve my outlook.

Today was a bank holiday, which is nice, because while I have the day off, most businesses don't, which means I can use the day to run errands. Today I wasn't running though, I was having folks run to me.

First, the alarm was installed, then the Roter Rooter plumber came out to repair a broken pipe. Then the pumper truck came out to clean the sewers.

Wanna see?

This is Tony, the operator of the grease pumper truck. He's standing here with his big hose.

Tony was nice enough to let me take this picture - it's the sludge in the sewer that he's about to suck up with the big hose. Tony was a good sport to let me take these photos, don't you think?

I did take pictures of the much less disgusting alarm installation, but I decided that posting them to the entire Internet probably wasn't a good idea.
