Monday, Monday

Well kids, I hope you are all enjoying your Monday mornings at work. I've got Jury Duty today. With any luck, I'll be sitting on a comfy chair all day, reading Deception Point by Dan Brown. It's a book Lauren lent me long before we had 15 inches of snow on the ground. I haven't even turned the first page yet.

I'm about to make my pilgrimage to the suburbs - why I couldn't serve my one day one trial someplace closer to home or at least someplace civilized is beyond me. At least I found a better route on public transportation than the one they suggested. They had me taking not one, not two, but THREE trains and a bus. The way I figured it out, I only have to take two busses.

Unfortunately, one of the busses takes me on Cicero Avenue. It is bad to say "Cicero" to me ever since I saw the movie Chicago. Ever since yesterday I have had Catherine Zeta Jones in my head going, "Sissssssssserohhhhhhhhh". Given that the song this is from is titled, "He Had it Comin'", I'm thinking this isn't the most appropriate frame of mind for a potential juror.

hahahahahhah, Cicero! Hopefully your case won't be "He fell on my knife. He fell on my knife 10 times."

Bet
