About the Boy - I'm going to call this one "case closed". The boy andI managed to do nothing in December that we'd planned to do. I saw himrecently at an office-sponsored party, and it took him a long time tobe able to approach me, even though I'd gone right up to where he wastalking to some of the people I am friendly with. Even then, lookingat me when he talked was out of the question. After he pounded, and Imean pounded a few drinks, he started to chat with me, and evenoffered to buy me a drink. Who needs it?
The next day we took the same train home. Talk about awkwardconversation. I was trying to keep the conversation light and businesslike, since my crush has been, well, crushed. I told him about theburglary though, just to see if he'd give a crap. His answer? "Yeah, well, if that ever happened to me, I'd hit the guys with a baseballbat." What a goddamned stud.I need a new crush, and I'll be accepting applications through thisblog.
About the Burglary - I'm markedly calmer this week. No more constantshaking: I was beginning to think I had Parkinson's Disease orsomething. The only real problem I'm having now is at night. When it'sdark and quiet and I'm trying to get to sleep, every little bump inthe night wakes me up.
I know that nobody is getting through two doorsconstructed from reinforced steel and iron, built into two massivesteel door frames. But what about the front door? Or the windows!Someone could break the windows! Needless to say, I'm speaking withan alarm company tonight.
The police called me up on Sunday to let me know that they hadn't runthe fingerprints yet. Unbelievable. 10 days after the fact, and theystill hadn't done anything. The friendly detective assigned to my caseasked me to describe some of the jewelry that had been stolen, becausehe skims the pawn shops on his beat. Not that I have much hope, butthat poor detective got more detail than he was hoping for.
About the Blog - For some reason, the Blog cannot be edited once it isposted. I can't see my old posts through Blogger. So you know, ignorethe typos, ok? The Website is up and working, but the left hand menuseems to not want to let it's items open up in their own browser orlike they are supposed to, in the main frame. I'm guessing my Web Hosthas something to do with this. If it continues, I'll kill the frames. All of 'em.
About some more blogging? Yeah, I'll get to that. Nobody cries outwhen I don't blog anymore, which I guess is a good thing. I feel allrelaxed about it. The new season of the Apprentice starts this week, but I'm not sure if I want to commit to another 16 weeks of recappingit.

How about the nice detective? But you can have my boy. I think I'm going to kill him. Or explode. I think I'll just keep FantasyBoy, aka George C. The care and feeding is much easier.
So where do I fill out an application to be your new crush?
Bet
