Closetus Interruptus

Don't get me wrong, I truly love the Condo. But as it happens with the ones we love, the Condo has some shortcomings. It isn't good for entertaining, for example, becaue it is really kind of small - just 875 square feet.

It also has horribly inadequate closet space. The standard Chicago closet is a hole in the wall with one bar and one shelf. In other words, it is really hard to organize anything. The Condo has two such closets. I've been meaning to get some kind of closet organizer system in there for the last two years. When I first moved in, I was planning on building the organizer myself.

But I've learned a thing or two as a homeowner: 1. I am not handy 2. If I do it myself, I'll not only end up having to pay to have the job done, and I'll pay to un-break everything I broke while trying to be handy.

Today, California Closets is here to build the closet organizer system. The designer was here two weeks ago to measure and design the closet. It was fun! Today is building day. Unfortunately, Design Lady is a bit of a twat, and can only add as well as I can. She measured the closet in the master bedroom wrong.

So by the end of today, I'll not have the two closets I thought I would have when I started writing this blog, but I will have 1 1/2 closets. And I'll be paying less than I thought I would, because I'm going to make a big stink about how these folks are wasting my time by needing to come back some other weekend.

The more I type, the more annoyed I'm getting at these people. I was really getting excited by my plans to reorganize the closets this evening. Yes folks, that's my excitement for this Saturday night: re-or-gan-IIIIII-zing. And by the way, I can only imagine a few other things I'd rather be doing. This is what I call exciting.

Anyhow, Bruno is drilling away in the bedroom, and Portugal has just kicked some major Limey ass. What more could a girl want?
