New Addition to the Family

After much hemming and hawing, I finally bit the bullet and made a commitment. I had been shopping around for a digital camera for months. I had originally decided on a Canon A-90: a very pricy little number that offers all kinds of whistles and bells, including manual controls, video functions and six mega pixels.

I decided a few days ago that I didn't need that much camera. If I want to take extra large, special photos, I can use the professional equipment I use at work. For life and for this blog, I can use this beautiful Canon A-75

You can probably guess that this blog will feature more pictures from here on out.

To get us started, here's a picture of me and my new camera:

Now that we've gotten the picture of myself out of the way, here's something more exciting. The following is a picture of my very humble kitchen window ledge. Pay special attention to the plant:

What's so special about this plant? Well, I planted this little guy from a seed this May. It has been growing and getting larger and growing flowers. The other day, I noticed it was doing something quite remarkable:

It is growing a pepper! How cool is that? I've got a pepper farm in my own kitchen.

Life doesn't always have to suck, you see?

Ooooh, I'm expecting Picture Sundays at Michelle's house!

And what a fine pepper that is!

Excellent camera choice. I love the Canon's. How about some more artistic pics? You need to have some models over and take pictures of them looking bored in various stages of dishabille. Or how about some nature shots? Squirrel out the window. Cat stalking pidgeon. The possibilities are endless.
