From the Guesbook
Shortly after I started blogging, people quit using my website's guestbook and started putting scant few comments on the blog. Since nobody really uses the guestbook, I very rarely go back to check it.
Tonight I was thinking of deleting it, but then I found that someone had left me a message very recently. This message reads:
Date: 2004-09-16 17:45:45 Nancy ( no email / no homepage) wrote: My application was accepted by your company, payment was sent and received. To date no one will respond to my email and let me know what is going on. I was told the work would come directly from your company. Anxious to proceed.
Now, I'm really confused. Is this some sort of guestook spam? "Fred the Blog" is not a company, nor is "Michelle's Work In Progress". I mean, I just wonder what kind of work she's expecting. I didn't get any check that I wasn't expecting, that's for sure. I'm glad this chick is anxious to proceed and all, but how am I supposed to contact her if she doesn't leave any contact information?
So Nancy, if you're out there, let me just tell you this: I haven't the slighest clue as to what you are talking about, but if you're throwing around money to random blogs, I'd be happy to give you my paypal account number.

Did someone maybe pay you online for some sexual favors you forgot to deliver? I know that happens to me all the time.
Bet
I think you've solved your problem and Nancy's. You just responded to her email, no?
Case closed. Nanc, you're barking up the wrong tree, hun.
