PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.47

1. It is a lovely 21 degrees here in Oklahoma, and since walking in from the parking lot, I can't seem to warm up. I've got the coffee to my right and the space heater to the left and the non-functional central heat blowing above me. What do you do to get warm when you are very cold? I tend to drink tea to warm up. Pouring hot liquid down my throat cures many ills. You should try it.

2. What is the first thing you do in the morning after you get up? I pretty much always have to pee first thing when I get up.

3. I mentioned earlier in the week that Sub Hunt was one of the first arcade games I ever remember playing. Many years later I would become equally entranced by the Atatri 2600 (ugh, I am showing my age now, aren't I?). Do you remember the very first video game you ever played (arcade, handheld, console, etc.)? What do you remember about that experience? Talk about showing one's age. My first video game was pong - or at least a version of it. I think my father either brought it home from work, or else he made it (copied it) himself. I loved playing it. Graphics as we know them now didn't exist then, and so they didn't matter. I'd play the game with anyone who'd play with me, and if nobody were around, I'd play against the computer.

4. Do you have a good memory or do you find that you need to write things down to remember them? I write lists when I am stressed out, but generally, I have a very good memory.

5. I am currently really getting a kick out of the Citibank Citicard commercials about Identity theft, to the point of quoting them out loud (which no one gets, I really need new some geeky-er friends). What are some of your all-time favorite television commercials? I am very partial to the "Thanks Easterbunny BAAWWWK" ad. I like Citibank's current campaign. I think they are catchy and funny. I also like the commercial for mustard - I don't even remember whose mustard it is - but the commercial shows a very young boy singing "You Are My Sunshine" while making himself a sandwich.

6. Since Thanksgiving is this week, I felt like I just had to throw in the obligatory food question, so here goes. Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving food that is made by one person, and no one makes it better? If not, then what is your favorite food to eat at Thanksgiving? (Those who don't celebrate Thanksgiving feel free to insert your favorite fall food) My mother used to make this thing with sweet potatoes, marshmellows and cherries that I loved. She quit making it when I was in my early teens, because it was horribly fattening. That was always my favorite dish though. I have no idea how to make it and I've never had anything quite like it again. These days I'm not really so into traditional Thanksgiving food. I don't eat meat anymore, for starters. I still really do like the cranberry sauce. The kind that comes in a can and has to be cut to be served...

7. Wireless telephone companies will now let you move your cell number to another carrier, or move your land line number to your cell. Not only is this incredibly convenient, it forces cell phone companies to be more competitive. Are you planning to switch cell phone companies as a result of this new law, or possibly pit two companies against each other for a better deal? No, because I don't have a cell phone. I pit companies against each other all the time for my landline though. I like my new phone number, and I'm glad that I can keep it forever if I want to now.
