Monday Mission 2.25 via PromoGuy.net
1. Do you wear glasses/contact lenses? If so would you consider going through Lasik surgery? (Or if you already have, please tell us about it) I wear glasses only. I attempted to wear contacts many years ago, and they freaked me out because I had to put my finger in my eye to get them in. Having said that, I don't think I would like to have a laser pointed at my eye either. I can't even handle the glaucoma test where they puff a little air in your eye.
2. Did you ever have to wear braces? How are your teeth? (any cavities, any pulled teeth, root canals, etc.) So you wanna know about my teeth. I didn't wear braces, instead I had a huge ass retainer type thing that had to be removed to talk, eat or perform strenuous physical activity. It was extremely painful and didn't get worn much. As a result, my teeth are still crooked. I have several fillings in my molars and have had one wisdom tooth out. I have to have the rest done when I gather up my courage or when they start hurting. As well, I have a Letterman type gap between my front teeth. The dentist told my parents when I was a kid, that if he removed the muscle that holds my lip to my upper gums, the teeth would grow back together. What a CROCK! But you should see the party tricks I can do now!
3. What (if any) recent movies have moved you emotionally? Which one and how so? If you mean made me sad, none. But Attack of the Clones made me giggle a lot.
4. Would you rather live the remainder of your golden years in a rest home, or pass away before it came to that? I will consider it a miracle if I live that long. I would live in a retirement community, but would never live in a rest home. But honestly, being the youngest in my family with no kids or spouse, I'm sure that I'll eventually have to hire someone to help me out with stuff if I get really old. But I plan on dying before I give up my independence. Because having to depend on anyone again would kill me.
5. What natural creation or phenomenon just flat-out leaves you with a sense of wonder? I think I am too cynical for this question. I had to think too long to come up with an answer. I was in awe when my niece was born, because I was really impressed that my stinky brother could have co-produced anything so wonderful. Children learning to talk is kind of awe-inspiring, not the repeating, but the communicating.
6. Have you ever been in a fist fight or a situation where you had to get physically violent with someone else? How did that come about? Any consequences? I was brought up to be a pacifist, so the few times that I have had to defend myself, I have failed miserably, because I refused to throw a punch. Now that I am an adult, I'd handle that differently.
7. Are there any recent happenings that you wish you would have handled differently? Regret is a horrible thing, but try as I may not to have regrets, I most certainly have them. I assume you want details? I wouldn't have renewed my current lease with its big price increase. Instead I would have bought a condo sooner and saved myself a lot of money. I also wish I had measured the CD player in the Wall of Sound before buying the cabinet. The CD player sits on top of the cabinet, where really the TV should go, because it doesn't fit in the slot. It is 1/4 inch too large. Actually, there are TONS of things I could be regretting right now, but I would rather not expend the energy.
BONUS: How far away can you go, and still be dancing with me? I could be right in your face and not be dancing with you.
