Hello Cruel World,

The Friday Five seems to be back online, but there are no new questions. So rather than think of something original to say, I think I'll just steal one from the archives. This one comes from November 16, 2001.

1. Name five things in your refrigerator: Brita water filter, three bottles of Berghoffs left from Memorial Day, molding peanut butter (I make my own after a recent conversation with my boss), mixed baby greens from the farmers market and balsamic vinegar.

2. Name five things in your freezer: A 10lb bag of ice, a box of Boca Burgers, blueberries, candles (freezing them before use is supposed to make them drip-free), Polish chocolate from Agnez (for emergency use ONLY) and a Morningstar Farms pot pie.

3. Name five things under your kitchen sink: Laundry detergent, fabric softner, Swiffer sheets, bleach and plant food.

4. Name five things around your computer: This is difficult. My computer is a laptop and after last night's #squeeze convention it is currently lying next to my bed, so here goes: My bed, my filing cabinet/nightstand, the telephone, blue-footed, egg-shaped Ikea table lamp and Penny - the life-sized stuffed penguin.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? I plan to sleep, which has been sadly lacking from my life lately, I have a chat on Saturday, I plan to free my apartment temporarily from free from dust bunnies, and at some point I hope to take Beverley out to dinner, and some other impromptu activity (movies or something) because she is turning 40 on Monday. I would have treated her to something more exciting, but she is just coming back from three weeks vacation, and she no doubt has to work this weekend. Also, I am going to try to call Bari, Victor and Funky Skwalidina, as well as Julie and Dave, who I completely blew off last weekend. At some point I plan to give Joe some attention if he needs/wants some, and transplant the chamomile. Now that I see all of this in writing, it does seem a bit overly ambitious, doesn't it?
