According to my movie list, I didn't watch a single film in February. I'm hardly going to reach my goal - whatever it was, by keeping this up. So after work, I scurried over to the local video rental place (I wanted to type "video store" - do other people call the place you rent videos a "store"?) and rented THREE, count 'em, one, two, three videos.
Tonight I watched the first: Down With Love. I remember when I saw the commercials for it on TV that I thought it looked like a fun movie, but not one worth $10 of entertainment. I'm proud to announce that I made the right decision.
I loved the sets and the costumes - especially the vibrant colors. The jokes were sometimes a little too obvious, especially the visual gags, and David Hyde Pierce played Dr. Niles Craine in 60's attire, but in general, I had to give the film two stars out of four. It is a cute film.
