Also not easy: blogging. I just deleted a loooong entry about this time of year, but decided maybe some of my thoughts and feelings on the matter shouldn't be out there for everyone to read. I will say this: I am feeling very much like an alien this year, and I refuse to just suck it up and deal with the festivities. Sure, people who generally get gifts from me can expect them like any other year, and there might even be a card or 60 in the mail soon. But if I'm not in the mood, I'm not going to sing those songs, or engage in one-sided conversations about Christmas plans.
