Of course it was bound to happen, she was 96 years old, but still, I can't help but feel shocked by the death of Katherine Hepburn. She always seemed like an instituion of sorts, rather than a person. Katherine Hepburn didn't live or die, eat, sleep,... nothing you and I do ... she just was, like the sun and the sky.

And bless poor Martin Short. That's one more bit of his repetoire that he'll have to scratch.
