110 spams in my Yahoo account today. Yes today, and today alone. I dumped the email at 1 am this morning. It is now 11:29 PM.
So, I promised a yogurt review Now I don't see anyone clamering for this information, but I'm gonna give it anyway. It's my blog!
On a scale of 1 to 10 with one being the lowest, I would give this frozen yogurt an 8 1/2. It lost points because of the ice crystals on the outside of the package that had also begun to form on the inside. This is a sign that the product was allowed to defrost partially, and then was refrozen. This resulted in a somewhat icy top layer. However, when I got that mess cleared up, I will agree with the product that this yogurt really is as close to food nirvana as a frozen yogurt can bring a person. I had the non-fat chocolate variety. It has the mouth feel of ice cream, very rich, very smooth. There is just enough chocolate in the mix, and there is none of that watery goo inside the container that other frozen yogurts seem to have.
The ultra cool thing about this product is that it has the same nutritional values as their regular, non frozen, non fat yogurt. That means you are getting the same health benefits. Yes, health benefits. I firmly believe that yogurt is a very healthy and important food, but only when it is made with ALL of the cultures that make up a yogurt, not just L. Acidophilus. That's why I won't eat Dannone's other products (they recently bought Stonyfield Farms). Their texture is acheived by adding gelatin. In fact, my first line of defense for all ailments is yogurt and tea. I'd say about 80% of the time I get better just from that.
So there you have it. The perfect food for a hot day.
