I just checked out the Friday Five, and I hope you won’t be too put out by the fact that I won’t be answering those questions. I am just not a fashion maven.

Instead I’ll write about the rare and wonderful good mood I’m in. It is the Friday evening of a three-day weekend. I feel so free! Three WHOLE days of no work! THREE days !!!

When I got home from work, my package of Poundsqueeze merchandise was here! I ordered the commuter mug and the long-sleeved T. I am completely and utterly pleased with the mug. I washed it out right away and put some lemonade in it. It has passed the commuter mug test! You can turn it upside down and it doesn’t spill, it doesn’t dribble when you drink out of it, AND it keeps the lemonade cold. If your commuter mug doesn’t fulfill these absolutely necessary qualities every commuter mug should have, be SURE to order yours at the poundsqueeze store!
As for the T-Shirt, I have to say that I severely misjudged my size. Somehow I felt justified in ordering a 2x. I don’t like wearing T-shirts that are tight across the boobs, so I thought I’d order up a size. These shirts are cut very generously, and so I will be wearing it to bed, or quite possibly with the biking tights I am ashamed to wear in public. This shirt covers up my butt quite nicely.

Speaking of biking, I took an impromptu trip to Evanston on my bike. I was wondering what the bike path route was like going north, and you know, it is quite pleasant. It only took me 25 minutes to get there, and then I zoomed around by the huge rocky beach, back and forth and then went to the Peoples Market. I got some lovely Spanish wine and some yummy looking whole wheat pasta.. and! And! What a find! I discovered that Stony Field Farms – the makers of my absolute favorite yogurt….. makes FROZEN YOGURT! I’m telling you, what a find. I can’t wait to try it. I got chocolate. And just like in Seinfeld, it’s non-fat!

And now I have to go to watch the Honeymooners special on CBS. I’ll report back about the yogurt later.
