Weekly Meme - 30 Questions

Thank goodness for Stennie! I spent a long time today trying to decide what I was going to blog about. I've come up with a big, fat, NOTHING so far. It's just getting so hard to stay concentrated on anything long enough to write about it. I suppose it is a good sign that I want to blog though - right? I mean, doesn't that signal that I'm not getting old and lazy, just old and distracted?

Anyhow, these are 3o questions that look like they could be fun to answer, or at least they look like fun when Stennie answers them. Let's see what we've got here:

1. Have you ever been searched by the cops?
Yes, actually. During my first New Year's Eve home during college, I worked until 11 pm (Broke college students will do anything for cash.) I was driving from work to a party when I got pulled over in one of those road block security checks. I had to get out of the car, show my license and registration, explain where I'd been and where I was going, and they searched my car. And yes, smart-ass, I passed the test. I was under age and had no contraband. I was disapointed that they didn't make me take any of those sobriety tests you see on TV, like "say the alphabet backwards" or something.

2. Do you close your eyes on roller coaster?
Yes. I'm not quite brave enough to keep them open.

3. When’s the last time you’ve been sledding?
Probably in Austria, but I don't remember. I guess it's been a while.

4. Would you rather sleep with someone else, or alone?
If we're just talking sleeping, then I like to sleep alone. People who have shared a bed or even a room with me would attest that this is also for the best.

5. Do you believe in ghosts?
No.

6. Do you consider yourself creative?
Yeah, I'm more creative than not, but I'm too uptight to really be expressive about it.

7. Do you think O.J. killed his wife?
I know I'm probably going to hell for this - but I just don't care if he did or not.

8. Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie?
I agree with Stenns. Are you serious? Totally Jennifer.

9. Can you honestly say you know ANYTHING about politics?
I can indeed: I can say that I hate it, and that Drinky McDumbass is a nimrod.

10. Do you know how to play poker?
No. Good girls don't learn how to play cards.

11. Have you ever been awake for 48 hours straight?
Indeed. I am very good at staying awake when I need to be sleeping. I tend to lose my voice when I stay up for more than two days, which is a good thing, because I get very, very bitchy when I'm overtired. Ah, the yin and the yang.

12. What’s your favorite commercial?
Adrien Brody's Diet Coke commercial.

13. Who was your first love?
Jimmy Siverstein

14. If you’re driving in the middle of the night, and no one is around, do you go through a red light?
No. I'm a big nerd like that. I obey traffic lights when I'm in the car.

15. Do you have a secret that no one knows but you?
Yes.

16. Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees?
I don't care.

17. Have you ever been Ice Skating?
I only remember going one time when I was very young. I'm kind of a klutz and I have tiny ankles. This is not a good sport for me.

18. How often do you remember your dreams?
I'd say rather frequently, like 3 or more times a week.

19. What’s the one thing on your mind?
I'm dreading work tomorrow. I have some very boring stuff to do.

20. Do you always wear your seat belt?
As the driver, yes. As a passenger in the front seat, yes. In the back seat I don't wear them though. Remind me to kick Stennie's ass over her answer to this question.

21. What talent do you wish you had?
I would love to be able to play the violin and the guitar, oh, and also the piano. And I'd like to be able to read music. I've had classes before, but I never managed to learn anything.

22. Do you like sushi?
Yes, but I only eat the vegetarian kind. I know that this isn't "real" sushi, but raw fish is just so slimy-looking!

23. What do you wear to bed?
T-shirt and shorts or sweats, pjs. Whatever is around.

24. Do you truly hate anyone?
Unfortunately, yes. It is a lot of work. Probably more than it is worth.

25. If you could meet one famous person, who would it be?
Christa Wolf

26. Do you know anyone in jail?
Not yet. Both of my nephews are minors.

27. What food do you find disgusting?
This list is kind of long, but the top of that list would probably be herring in cream sauce.

28. Have you ever made fun of your friends behind their back?
Yes, but I ususally tell people about it later.

29. Have you ever been punched in the face?
Yes.

30. Do you believe in angels and demons?
No.
