Now this just pisses me off. Now, in case you don't feel like clicking on the link to find out what's got me so hot and bothered, I'll just hand it to you in a nutshell.
It seems some dumbass federal judge has decided that it is ok for the families of the victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center to sue the airlines. I quote: "The plaintiffs had also argued that American and United Airlines and the Port Authority were legally responsible to protect people on the ground when the hijacked aircraft smashed into the twin towers, causing them to collapse."
I don't get it. I simply don't. How on EARTH is it the airlines fault, that four planes were hijacked? Isn't it the government's job to protect us from acts of war? Didn't the airlines privatize years and years ago?
What is it about this country that everyone needs to find someone to sue all the time? Yeah ok, so people are hurting and angry, and they want to make someone pay. But is stabbing a dying industry the answer?
