Gimick

I think I've come up with a new gimick for my site. "What's that?" you say? Well, you know, Bitterspice has the Rewrite Theater, and Stennie has the Daily Trivia. Betster has the Acrogame and there's always the Monday Mission over at the Promoguy's site.

Now it's my turn.

I am going to take an idea I got while chatting with my homeys over at #squeeze. We were discussing a list some of us had been on a few years ago called the Daily Music Challenge or something like that. It is a fun game, and I realized that nobody that I know was doing this on their blogs soooo.. here are the rules.

I am going to give a topic. All you, the players, have to do, is give a list of songs (with the artists who sang them) about the subject. Like, if the topic is "Songs with the word 'sex' in the title," you could list "I want your Sex" by George Michael, "Sex Master" by Squeeze, "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye... you get the gist?

The person with the longest list wins. Now, as you list, be sure to look at the list of people who played before you, because duplicate songs don't count!

I am planning on posting the topics on Thursday evenings and judging on Saturday. Does anyone have any objections?

So.. now that everyone's on board, here's the first Weekly Song Challenge:

The topic this week, in keeping with the theme of today, is "Disaster"

I haven't decided whether or not I should get to play too. I guess that depends on the number of people who play the game. The first one that comes to my mind though, is "It's The End of the World as We Know It", by REM. I'll stop at one for now.

Answers in the comments, please!
