Back when I was living in Austria, would get asked all the time about obsolete laws that were still supposidly on the books. I used to get all confused by that, because I had no idea what they could mean. One of the teachers I worked with gave me a list of many of these laws that had been recently published in a German periodical. I have to admit, some of these laws are really ridicilous, and I can't imagine why they were ever necessary. There are laws here about selling milk to cows, demanding horses wear pants, and some interesting laws about sex.

I was thinking about these wacky laws for some reason tonight - actually, they came up in a conversation with Patrick, but I don't remember why. Anyhow, I've found a list of them here on the web, and if you want a good chuckle, go here.
