Here is the blog I attempted to publish on Friday:
The Clinton Book is coming out soon, so naturally, all the news sources in the world are finding little snippets of the book like this one. The snippet in question claims that the former President slept on the couch for several months after he came clean about his affair with the Lewinski chick. The first thing that came to mind for me was, "doesn't the White House have, like, a bazillion rooms? Why did he have
to sleep on a couch when he could just pull up another bed somewhere?" I smell another lie.
I've been quiet again, I know. Here's a quick catch-up for anyone interested:
It has been hard keeping up with the blog and making it to chat while fighting computer worms. "Get some anti-virus software" you say? I got the worm from way back last week when I had to reinstall my OS. I was downloading new definitions from the McAfee site, when suddenly, I got several worms. Most of the problems have been taken care of, but I still have one. The worm or virus is behaving like the MS Blaster worm, but neither McAfee nor Nortons is finding it. I guess I have a new strain. I found a few more patches from Microsoft that I will load up tonight with crossed fingers. [Update: The worm has been taken care of]
I have also been traveling a lot. Some business, some family. While I was on my last trip in Lake Geneva, WI, (business) several things seemed blogworthy at the time, but I was just too tired to blog about them when I got back to my room with the Jacuzzi (r) in it. I was really, really tired. Really tired. Too tired to write yes -- but somehow I found the energy to take a bath every night. I totally want a Jacuzzi for the Condo now. I suspect this is highly cost prohibitive. Perhaps I'll put up a little Paypal account up on my site
Godzilla (Boss of the CompanyIUsedToWorkFor) is in the office today, visiting his former boss. (Who is the Big Kahuna Boss of where I work now, or at least for the next two weeks.) I am hoping beyond all hope that he won't come by to see me. I may vomit on his shoes.
This weekend is par-tay weekend, and I'm sure anything I blog will be done while being heavily over-served. (That's my new favorite euphemism for being drunk). There is a big graduation party to attend, as well as a concert to attend by my one-time singing partner Glenn Tilbrook. After Sunday, things will slow down for the first time in a long while.
However, I'm really due for my midlife crisis to begin. More on that story as it develops.
