I'm going through one of those "busy, anti-social" periods again. Who knows what brought this on, but it is here. My holiday guests have come and gone, the house is a mess, work is horribly busy, and I am still, if you can believe it, sick. Not sick as in "sick as a dog", but sick as in "tiny, squinty eyed, swollen, painful faced". No amount of antibiotics seems to kill the beast, so the doctor has decided to look inside my nose, rather than just stuff things up there.
I had a CT scan today, and although it isn't the way I most prefer to start my day, I have to say it wasn't bad. You get packed in foam while lying on a comfy cot. The machine goes up, a fan goes on, pictures are taken, flip, repeat. Piece of cake. Now I have to wait for some results so I can make some decisions about what to do.
I am watching some show on PBS - "Wild Chicago" seems to be the name. They are currently highlighting Las Vegas's own Star Trek Wedding Chapel. You can dress up as whatever character you want, and get married on the Bridge of the USS Enterprise. I can't decide if that is cool or very, very sick.
As I wrote the description of the Enterprise Wedding, the show moved on to the Blues Brothers' show going on in Las Vegas. Love the movie, the original one, that is. I refuse to see that "second move" staring John Belushi's brother. He's a funny guy, but he isn't his brother. He shouldn't be trying to fill his shoes. Dan Ackroyd ought to be ashamed of himself.
Well, that's all I have to say for myself tonight. Thank you for stopping by. Y'all come back now, y'hear?
