Well color me wrong. The storms came, but they stayed away from the skies over my neighborhood. I'm blogging this at work, it is 8.19 am. I won't be able to post this until late this afternoon when I get home from work - but at least it is a genuine entry, n'est pas?

Today is going to be a busy day in the land of work, and I'm not looking forward to it. I have to deal with meetings and interviews allll day. To make matters more interesting, the storms blew out all of the power to the south side trains - I guess lightening hit a transformer or something - and so 2/3rds of my department will not be coming in today. In fact, our AA is out, and her backup as well. This means that I have to answer phones - oh the horror! How I am going to do this while in various conference rooms remains to be seen.

Knowing that it would be a hellish day, I treated myself to a latté - noo, not a yucky Starbucks latté, but one from the cute little coffee shop on Randolph and Wabash. I can never remember the name of that place, but they make a hell of a good latté. I'll be zooming around the office in no time!

I participated in the ">5 Minute Theater for the first time ever. Lily's entry is going to be hard to beat, she had me in stitches. Thanks for making my day, scary spice!
