I think my Weatherpixie needs to cut out the crack. For several days now, she thinks it has been foggy and 41 degrees -- round the clock. I have news for you babe, it is 30 and snowing like a mofo out there. Put your jacket on!
Check this out though:
Tom Skilling's 7-day forecast
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday 35 high 30 low Heavy snow (4-7 inch accumulations) with northeast wind gusts in excess of 30 m.p.h. will make for a hazardous morning commute. Snow will initially melt, especially close to the lake, so accumulations will vary with lesser amounts in the city and greater totals in the far west suburbs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuesday 40 high 27 low Mostly cloudy and continued cold with occasional flurries. East winds 10-15 m.p.h. Highs struggle to warm out of the 30s.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wednesday 51 high, 36 low. Sunny skies. Winds slowly shift into the southwest and temps climb closer to normal. Clear at night with lows in the mid 30s.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday 62 high 42 low Another sunny day with strengthening southwest flow. Highs warm into the 60s. Fair skies overnight with lows near 40°.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Friday 63 high 43 low Partly sunny skies. Slight chance of light showers. Winds shift to the north overnight, bringing a flow off Lake Michigan.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday 53 high 43 low Partly sunny, but east winds off Lake Michigan restrict high temperatures to the lower 50s. Fair skies overnight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday 70 high 48 low Much warmer. Sunny skies and southwest winds allow temperatures to approach a 70° high.
Crazy! From snowy to near balmy in just 7 days. This is exactly what my mother used to call " Pneumonia weather". Feh, I am looking foward to bike riding weather.
