Bless me bloggers, for I have sinned. It's been six days since my last entry.

I spent the weekend in the Land of Cleves - I'll never understand why that city gets such a bad reputation. It has a wonderful orchestra, lots of museums, lots of first-rate ethnic food, clean sidewalks, cute little shops and friendly people. Still, when people saw me at work on Friday, suitcase in hand, I had five, yes FIVE conversations that sounded exactly like this:

Person: Where are you spending the 3-day weekend?
Me: I'm going to Cleveland
Person: Oh, I'm sorry!

What gives?

Anyhow, I was there visiting the one and only Funky Squalidina. No pictures from this little jaunt by the way - I forgot to bring the digital camera along.

F.S. and her husband Dan have a hybrid car that gets 48 miles to the gallon IN THE CITY. Aren't they cool? If I ever buy a car again, it will be one of these sleek little numbers.

F.S. and her husband also have a cockerpoo named Frodo. Frodo is gorgeous, and you can see one of his cousins here I could have spent all weekend just playing with this puppy. He is so loveable and squeezable and has a very soft coat. Frodo loves snow, which is a good thing, since Cleveland was full of it. About four inches of snow was on the ground, which excited the ever-loving crap out of me, since Chicago has NO snow, and has had NO SNOW on the ground for more than 10 minutes since December 26th.

While visiting F.S. I saw the movie Chicago. Wow, it was a lot better than I was expecting - and forgive me Chrispy, but I thought Renee Zellweger was perfect in this role. I was also impressed by Richard Gere, and I have a history of hating him. I've been running around singing "he had it coming..." all week now. It has also dawned on me that it is the perfect PMS song, don't you think?

No new apartment hunting news, except that I called another real estate company today, who is supposedly scouring the market for things for me to look at this week. Let's see how far my new and approved status will take me.

Blamb has requested a photo tour of "Michelle's Chicago" and I will probably oblige in one way or another in the coming week. I will also probably be borrowing the digital camera from work to do this, since mine is utter, utter, utter crap. But hey, it was free, and I dig free stuff.
