I went to the eye doctor yesterday and learned some interesting things:

- I have no depth perception, never have, never will,
- It is ok not to have this and to have a drivers license anyway,
- I have the same long-distance visual capacity of a mole,
- I only look at things from one eye at a time, which is why I cannot do things like, thread a needle, with both eyes open,
- I am really getting old: I am supposed to get reading glasses!!!!

I got the normal glasses yesterday, and I like the style. They are really hard to get used to though, because they have prisms in there to force me to use the eye that doesn't get used very often. I told the Dr. I didn't agree with the whole reading glasses thing, and he said to go ahead and see how tired I get at work using my regular glasses. If I found that I needed stronger glasses for computer work or reading, but didn't want to spend the money on two pairs of glasses, I could always get bifocals.
