Coffee and Teevee
I just got home from Lauren's Pampered Chef(R) party, and decided to relax for a minute in front of the teevee. And what was the first thing I saw?
Ralphie teaching Norton to do the Hucklebug! I've never seen anyone dance that before. I'm not sure if what they were doing was their comedic interpretation of the Hucklebug or if that's really how it was done, but it was pretty complicated.
And now Ralphie is trying to bring the ladies some coffee while wearing roller skates. He's sweating like crazy! I guess that's because he's wearing a hat, a collared shirt, a letterman sweater and a stripey dinner jacket of sorts.
Jackie Gleeson was an amazing physical comedian. As a younger person I never appreciated him, or the Honeymooners. But I think I'm finally coming around. I wonder if that means I'll start liking the Stooges, too?

Bet and I unsnap on this one, but I am a huge fan of The Honeymooners and the old Jackie Gleason Show. I would watch Kramden and Norton over I Love Lucy any day of the week.
No fan of the Honeymooners, but I think Art Carney was a genius.
And I could watch him Hucklebuck all day long.
Everybody, now! "Do the hucklebuck!"
