As a Northsider, I know I am really supposed to care about this stuff. So here in my attempt to feign interest is my link to a page about how the Cubs beat the Braves today. (Username and Password are both "butthead") Bravo, dudes, well done. I guess this means there will be a world series played here in Chicago? Unheard of.

I hope the garbage strike is over by then, or this city will be full of really fat, drunk rats. Imagine it - sports games and drinking in excess go together. It is a law of nature. Just think of all the alcohol that will be consumed in the stadium and outside at the various bars. Where will all the bottles go? The recycling here is picked up by the Refuse Engineers. All of those cans? And what of all the plastic cups in the dumpsters? The rats will be so thrilled, that in the freezing cold nights that have taken over the city of late, that they will have some nice, soul-warming booze to wash down the discarded hotdog and pizza bits with.

I hope they learn quickly to smile for the camera, as the media of the world descend on the rat-ravished Wrigleyville.
