So Mikey-The-Non-Blogger posted some blogging topics over at the Podview. (the list is in the comments) I thought, since it is Wednesday, I ought to start taking advantage of these ideas.

I have decided to tackle two at once, as they are very related and interdependent, as well as being very near to my heart.

- Foreign countries with the best looking people
- Best sounding foreign languages

I would first like to state that the best looking people seem to speak the coolest sounding languages. So really, this is two lists in one. Also, since this is a dangerously long post, I am going to break it up. One language a day for the next 5 days.

5. Russian. This language is so cool because it sounds like English spoken backwards. I really like the way they pronounce the "l"s way back in their throats. Besides, how can a language completely void of the verb "to be" not be cool? I mean, check it out. None of the great existentialists in the history of philosophy were Russian, were they now? Anyhow, this language is so smooth and honey-like, and just sexy enough that it had to make my top 5.

Russian women may have the reputation of looking like men on steroids, but that is a cold-war misnomer that has to be forgotten already. Russian men are hot. I can't explain what it is that makes them so attractive, but there is a bit of "it" in many Slavs. Perhaps "it" is the steel gray-blue color eyes that many Russians have, or just the way they hold themselves. They also tend to have very pouty lips.
