Another Message From The Front:

The Friday before a holiday weekend can either be incredibly busy, or dead around a bank. Today it seems that it will be dead, dead, dead. That's ok, because I am hoping to leave a little early. The markets are closing early today, which might just bode well for me.

Before I post my Friday Five, I would like to congratulate Jimmy Carter for winning the Nobel Peace Prize. He is truly a good and decent human being in word and deed. I am glad he is being recognized.

Today's Friday Five

1. If you could only choose 1 cd to ever listen to again, what would it be?
Right now it would be the Best of Elvis Costello and the Attractions. I've been listening to that a lot lately. Ask me that question in a couple of weeks, and I'm sure I'll have a different answer.

2. If you could only choose 2 movies to watch ever again, what would they be? Der Himmel über Berlin and The Life of Brian

3. If you could only choose 3 books to read ever again, what would they be?
Brother Sleep (Schlafes Bruder) by Robert Schneider, Fallout - A Day's News (Störfall - Nachrichten eines Tages), by Christa Wolf, and 100 Selected Short Stories by Roald Dahl.

4. If you could only choose 4 things to eat or drink ever again, what would they be? This is easy. Peanut butter, pad thai with tofu, chana masala and asparagus.
As for the drinks, I'd be ok with just water and tea. You can have my other two choices.

5. If you could only choose 5 people to ever be/talk/associate/whatever with ever again, who would they be? I'd sooner commit suicide.
